About Online Listing Tips

Online Listing Tips is an independent editorial reference for Etsy and Amazon sellers. We explain how marketplace search actually ranks listings and compare the real tools with their real, verified prices. Every claim is tied to Etsy's or Amazon's own seller documentation or to a vendor's public pricing page; where a figure cannot be verified, we describe it qualitatively instead of inventing a number.

Our editorial policy

Verify before we quote. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, checked on the date shown. When a number is not publicly shown (for example, Jungle Scout's per-tier prices), we say so and describe the plan qualitatively rather than guess.
Cite the source of truth. How Etsy and Amazon search work is drawn from their own documentation, the Etsy Seller Handbook and Help Center, and Amazon's Seller Central and tool pages, linked directly.
No guaranteed-ranking claims. No tool or service can guarantee a marketplace ranking. We say so, and we hold the tools we mention to the same standard.
Disclosure over hype. This site features commercial partners and promoted placements, clearly labeled, and always alongside honestly-compared competitors and each marketplace's own free tools. We link to primary sources more than to any one vendor.

Corrections

Marketplaces and vendors change prices and features. If you spot a figure that is out of date, the fix is to check the vendor's own page (which we link on every comparison), that is always the current source of truth. We review these pages periodically and update the "Updated" date when we do.
